Dubai, the largest city in the United Arab Emirates, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. The city has amazing shopping opportunities, beautiful beaches, great weather and a rich cultural heritage.

1. The Palm and World Islands
While you're in Dubai, you should definitely pay a visit to the world-famous articial Palm Islands (Jebel Ali, Jumeirah and Deira) and the World Islands: a man-made archipelago of 300 islands constructed in the shape of a world map. These architectural wonders are sure to leave a great impression!
2. Burj Al Arab
The 'Tower of the Arabs' is the most exclusive hotel in the world. Spending the night in of the super luxurious rooms is very expensive, so you might like to just enjoy the daily high-tea in the Skyview bar. Book well in advance!
3. Dubailand
Entertainment complex Dubailand aims to attract 15 million customers in the year 2010. The development is expected to be a full featured city divided into seven themed worlds, including a theme park, the largest mall in the world and the already completed Autodrome and Global Village, amongst other things. The entire project is expected to see completion sometime between 2008 and 2010.
4. Ski Dubai
Located in one of the most impressive malls of Dubai, the Mall of the Emirates, Ski Dubai is one of the must-visits for every sports-loving visitor to Dubai. How often do you get the opportunity to be skiing or snowboarding in the morning and get that full-body tan on the beach in the afternoon?
5. Desert Safari
Go on a desert safari and experience the sandy vastness of the desert landscape in all its splendor. The trips generally last a half day, but there is also the opportunity to stay overnight in an authentic Bedouin tent.
